Overview
- This document summarizes the updates included in a major release for SHIIP.
- This release focuses on the inclusion of post-acute admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) data from Providence Care Centre.
- This release is scheduled to be available for use on January 8th, 2021.
Major Improvements
- Real-time post-acute care admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) data from Providence Care Centre is now available.
- Added a regional hospital surge monitoring dashboard to support resource planning. This feature is only available to select users.
- Integrated user authentication with DUO Security to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This will help us improve account management and login processes moving forward.
- The login page has been redesigned to improve look-and-feel and support the MFA integration mentioned above.
- A new support email address and phone number has been created and will be available by January 15th. Further details will be available on this website.
- Removed some fields required on the CCP Information page that were included to support Health Links metric calculations.
- Added a new ‘CCP Activity Status’ to the Advanced Search page.
- Added a new CCP activity status of ‘Other’.
- All references to ‘Acute Care’ have been renamed to support the inclusion of post-acute data from Providence Care Centre.
- Day procedure and outpatient visit types have been combined into ‘Outpatient’ tabs on the Home page and Hospital Details page within the patient profile.
- Users may now set custom column visibility and order on the Home page, as well as the Hospital Details page within the Patient Profile.
- Added Master Record Number (MRN), length of stay, and mHOMR (available to select pilot users only) as available columns on the Home page.
- Added ‘My Profile’ page that will allow users to view certain details about their account, as well as update an expanding list of preferences.
- Added a ‘Landing Page’ preference that allows users to select their preferred landing page. By default, this is set to the Home page.
- Added ‘Theme’ profile preference to improve accessibility for users with vision impairment – WCAG 2.0 Level A, WCAG 2.0 Level AA (partial). Users can choose between the default theme and the new ‘High Contrast’ theme.
- Notification settings on the Practice List / Patient List pages have been redesigned to improve intuitiveness and scalability.
- Improved page load times throughout the application.
- Many other updates to improve user experience, performance, and security.
