SHIIP v3.4.0 Release Notes

Overview

  • This document summarizes the new features, changes, and major fixes for the next release version of SHIIP.
  • SHIIP is scheduled to be upgraded to version 3.4.0 and available for use on March 26th 2018.
  • Below communicates the most notable changes and improvements. For a detailed list that includes the technical details, please email us at SHIIP@kflaph.ca
  • This release focuses on improvements to the Audit Tool, adding a new Consent Management tool, simplifying the Patient Creation process, and many other minor improvements.

New Enhancements and Features

  • The Audit Tool has been overhauled for an improved administrator experience.
  • A Consent Management Tool has been added to SHIIP for easier maintenance of patient consent directives.
  • If you navigate away from checked-out CCP pages, SHIIP now shows you a list of which pages you are editing and the time remaining on your check-out.
  • Patient Creation has been significantly simplified and separated from the “My Identifiers” page of the CCP. This allows creation of a patient without automatically creating a CCP. The creation form now consists of five required fields and attempts to prevent users from creating patients that already exist.
  • A ‘Cancel’ check-out button has been added to each CCP page when they are being edited. This allows users to discard any changes without saving the document.
  • Users can now bulk-add patients to a Watch List in Watch List Management.
  • Updated wording / reasoning when patient creation does not succeed.
  • User-entered lists (using bullet points/dashes) on text boxes in the CCP should now be maintained when viewed as a PDF.
  • Several minor visual updates to the Addictions & Mental Health page within a Patient Profile.
  • A CTAS column has been added to the emergency department activity tab on the Home page.
  • SHIIP now enforced a five-year data retention policy. All data older than five years is automatically deleted.

Major Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where clicking on the “In Hospital” badge would re-direct to a “Page Not Found” error.
  • When viewing an archived CCP (version 1), the patient header should now display appropriately.
  • The ‘Password Reset’ feature used by Help Desk team members should now work as expected.
