SHIIP v2.1.0 Release Notes

Overview

  • This document summarizes the new features, changes, and major fixes for the next release version of SHIIP.
  • SHIIP is scheduled to be upgraded to version 2.1.0 and available for use on December 12th, 2016.

New Enhancements and Features

  • You can now manage your watchlists by clicking on the settings icon and clicking ‘Manage Watchlists’
  • Users can now create custom watchlists that automatically populate based on the following optional criteria:
    • Patient’s Location
    • Patient’s diagnosis codes
    • Patient’s HARP / LACE scores
    • Patient’s complexity
  • Various performance improvements, notably in the Dashboards.
  • Consistent loading indicators have been added to improve user experience.
  • An ‘Organization’ and ‘Location’ field have been added to the user profile.
  • The ‘Count’ column in the Acute Care dashboard has been split between encounters and patients.
  • SHIIP’s new ticket support feature is now accessible on all pages.
  • The SHIIP Help page / Knowledge Centre has been redesigned for an improved user experience. Helpful content will be increasingly available over the next few months.
  • An initial testing framework has been implemented & will be regularly improved. This should significantly reduce the number of user-experienced glitches in future releases.

Major Fixes

  • When creating a CCP for a new patient, ‘Date Of Birth’ should no longer populate with an incorrect date.
  • Users visiting a patient’s Risk Profile should no longer see a “Page Unresponsive” dialog on occasion.
  • Sorting and search preferences in All Patients will now remain during the user’s session.
  • The ‘Change Password’ option will now work for users in Internet Explorer 9.
  • Fixed an issue where ED visits for some patients would be overwritten.
  • All SHIIP users should now receive alert notifications.
  • Watch List will no longer accept blank entries.

  • New medication fields will no longer auto-populate with the first medication’s details in the CCP.

SHIIP v2.0.0 Release Notes

Overview

New Enhancements and Features

  • DashboardIndicators, and Care Coordination have been grouped under Dashboards. The information previously found under Dashboard is now labelled as Acute Care.
  • The Edit Profile page has been redesigned for improved flow and flexibility.
  • Service disruptions now send an email notification to all SHIIP users.
  • Administrators can now assign users to groups and organizations.
  • User accounts can now have an expiry date.
  • Removing a patient now requires a reason.
  • Users can now set a patient to Deceased.
  • Palliative patients have been added to the Dashboard’s IP and ED activity.
  • All dashboards can now be filtered by a patient group and a start/end date
  • All Patients can now be filtered by a user’s Watch List.
  • Users can now see risk charts for MAPLe, AUA, and CSI (Caregiver Stress Index)
  • A patient’s complex definition has been moved to the Summary tab (the Identification tab has also been renamed to Summary)
  • A number of CCP enhancements:
    • Added ‘N/A’ as an option for how recently a patient has used other substances.
    • A patient’s My Health Needs score will now allow non-numeric characters.
    • You can now search for a Primary Care Provider by CPSO number.
    • Last Medication Change now has appropriate field names.
    • Language options now display their English equivalents.
    • Primary Care Provider is now a required field.

Major Fixes

  • User roles will now save properly when a new user is created.
  • Users assigned to a ‘Hospital User’ role will now see patients displayed correctly.
  • Opening a ticket in the Help section should no longer erroneously display an error.
  • Searching for patients in the Manage Notifications section will now search all patients.
  • Navigating to a page after requesting other information will no longer produce an alert box.
  • Users will no longer be directed to a blank page after assigning a primary care provider for a new patient.

SHIIP v1.0.5 Release Notes

Overview

New Enhancements and Features

  • An additional view has been created for care coordinators that limit the viewing of aggregated patient health information. Unlike the current ‘advanced care coordinator’ view that provides users the complete functionality of SHIIP, the ‘light care coordinator’ view requires the user to search for specific patients by using the patients’ health card number.
  • Patients can now be removed from the roster by using the removal button located within the patient profile.
  • Patients can now be added to multiple watch lists. Furthermore, all reporting components in SHIIP can be recalculated based on the watch list.
  • CCP enhancements:
    • Within the CCP is a new ‘Admin’ button that enables the user to input some administrative data for SHIIP (i.e. closed, declined or patient deceased).
    • Larger font size.
  • A new care coordination dashboard that facilitates the reporting for CCP related indicators for health links.
  • A new Community Support Services dashboard that will display the related community support services a patient is actively using. The dashboard also displays when the patient began the service, their next planned event as well as the end date of the service.
  • Notifications through email are now more streamlined. The link provided within the email now links to a specific area in SHIIP as well as users are notified about specific sections of the CCP that have been edited.
  • A new help button that links to the new redesigned ‘Help’ section.
  • A new notification bell that will highlight recent communications such as release notes, newsletters, public health announcements or general health system alerts (i.e. influenza outbreaks). The notification center will also contain all patient related notifications that are received through email.

Major Fixes

  • Improvements to LACE and HARP filter.
  • Corrections to the ‘Watch List’ on the home page.
  • CTAS chart on the indicators tab to allow filtering on selected CTAS.

SHIIP v1.0.4 Release Notes

Overview

New Enhancements and Features

  • Information from Community Support Services that utilize the NESDA Trak as their client management software is now available in SHIIP.  A new tab “Community Support Services” is found in the patient profile that will show the information.
  • To provide flexibility for users to submit bugs or concerns, a service desk has been created.
  • Transactional Care Document has been added to the help page.
  • Continuous data processing improves for ALC data, RIW scores.
  • Watch list performance enhancements.
  • User Interface Changes:
    • Home page grid changes.
    • Patient gender.
    • Help page can now be easily accessed from the navigation bar.
    • Filters for the ‘All Patients’ have been reorganized for ease of use.
    • A ‘Provider’ filter has been added to the ‘All Patients’ tab.
    • Dashboard drill down can now be sorted.
    • Colors for LACE and HARP on the home page to match the coloring on the patient details section.
    • Page auto navigates to the bottom of the page when drilling down in the dashboard.
    • Risk scores default to two years.
    • Indicator dashboard improvements displaying HARP and LACE Score Trends.
    • Deceased patient badge is now available in the patient’s details header.

Major Fixes

  • Admins are able to change their own passwords.
  • Corrected loading issues for the HARP guide for users using Internet Explorer.
  • CCP has been fixed to allow saving when entering a postal code that is more than 6 characters.
  • Date picker on home page has been fixed

SHIIP v1.0.3 Release Notes

New Enhancements and Features

  • Areas where the Natural Language Processor (NLP) within SHIIP has provided data will be italicized and an asterisk (i.e. the Diagnoses column in the Hospital Acute Care Details within a patient profile.)
  • Enhancements to sections of the CCP
    • Free text is now available in the My Situation/Lifestyle section of the CCP
    • Dates can be entered via free text
    • Additional options as well as free text is now supported for the Health Needs section
    • More fields will auto-populate with information
    • Improvements to the user interface to note the mandatory fields
    • Validation improvements for the CCP and Health card numbers
  • Notifications for CCP changes
  • Users can save individual profile settings for SHIIP
  • A new indicators tab that displays readmission counts, preventable visits, number of complex patients and HARP score trends
  • Physicians and Nurse Practitioners can select the complex patient tag within the patient profile to override the complex flag
  • Font size adjustment and controls at the top right of the home page

  • Pagination buttons located on the home page have been corrected to fit on one line
